Brickz Biography

Born Dontrell A. Sam on July 13th ,known by New Orleans natives as Brickz, he is a 23 years old rapper,model, and songwriter from New Orleans,La. Brickz also is the oldest of 5, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.  Growing up in the streets of New Orleans, when Brickz was about 9 or 10, he fell in love with rap music, which created a drive in him that no one would have been able to comprehend at his age. Artists who have inspired Brickz are Jay-z, Tupac, Biggie, Ne'yo, Trey Songz, Master P, and Usher. Just like the artist that inspired him, Brickz plans to write music for others and create music that will become classics in the future. He has 7 years of experience recording music, 9 years of writing songs just to show his dedication and passion of music. He has performed over 60 times through the states of Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Mississippi. He has been in 3 groups on the way to success "Banger  Boys", "N.O Gravity", "Empire Ridaz". He is also affiliated with Lil Chuckee from YMCMB. His style of music would be described as a younger LL COOL J, He appeal to the ladies but can also keeps it street. Relevance  is the key of being an successful artist in the music industry according to Brickz. Brickz's brand would have to be his music which separates him from all the rest because of his energy and my flow. The one thing as an artist, if he could avoid, is becoming like someone else. Brickz loves to inspire others in all he does. If a fan would say anything about Brickz it will be that he puts his heart in his music.  Brickz dreams of working with inspiring writers and performers such as Jay-Z, Kanye. Since music today is all about having fun rather then people going at  one another for the number one spot he believes the only thing he has to work on is stamina during shows. Brickz's fans love that he lays it all on the stage every time he performs.
